Starting your video project with the best images can make all the difference in the editing suite and the final cut.
While some fly by the seat of their pants muttering things like “We’ll fix it in post”, our aim is to always capture stellar images on location or in the studio – saving you time and money in the edit bay.
Storyboarding & Pre-visualization (Previs)
Concepting and Storybording your message is the first step in casting & defining the vision for your story.
This is a crucial step in the production process where we sit down with you, and as a team we hash out every detail. From message and creative look, to graphics & styling, this process allows us to then create storyboards (as needed) to help cast the vision to your team and to ours.
Pre-production (PrePro) is the time spent script writing, creating sets, purchasing costumes & or equipment for your shoot. We spend time researching weather patterns, creating travel details & itineraries and choosing shoot, lodging and parking locations. Often purchasing shoot permits based on location and city restrictions.
Pre-Pro is a very useful time to hone in those last minute details that take your production to the next level.
Production is the sweat-equity that will go into your project. It is the shoot day or days that will allow you to begin to see your vision come together.
Production often takes place in a sound stage or studio. This allows us to control the environment and keep extraneous noise and light at bay, making the best use of the time and providing you with the highest quality images and sound possible.
Production locations can vary greatly based on the subject mater. In a reality or documentary style production we shoot “run & gun” style capturing the moment and action of the subjects as they happen in real-time.
Our clients highly enjoy the shoot days, getting them out of the office and into the field to see their vision come together.
Post production is the assembling of the house. Up to this point you have cast vision, drawn blue prints, and assembled the raw materials. This is where the real creativity comes in and your message comes together.
Post production consists of:
- • Ingesting, logging & compressing footage.
- • Laying out the timeline and editing.
- • Creating graphics (Intro/Outro, Lower 3rd [snipes], and transitions)
- • Color finessing
- • Audio Mastering
Post production is the final step in the creation of your product and quite often the most exciting.
This is where your vision comes to fruition and your message will finally “GET HEARD”.
